I have been nominated to receive the Diversity in Business Award for 2019 at the Crest Hollow Country Club on April 16th, 2019 from Long Island Business News.
As many of my fellow business owners know, it isn't an easy road we walk when we choose to own a business. The path is long and winding and there is no "manual" on how to get it right.
While I look forward to accepting this award, I wanted to take a minute to thank all of the people who supported me in this endeavor. People like my family, who have stood by me through thick and thin (Tisha Wallace (wife), Donald Wallace (father), Gloria Wallace (mother) and Todd Wallace (brother).
And a special thanks to my "friend-family" members, people like Gail Nikol who has served as my friend/mentor through almost 25 years, Michael Brauer who gave me my first contract as a business owner and Phil Andrews, President of LIAACC who nominated me for this esteemed award.
To everyone that I have ever worked with throughout this journey. I've learned valuable lessons from each of you. You have given me the drive and commitment to move forward. I'm not sure where this road is taking me, but I'm very certain that the ride has been an exhilarating one. Thank you all. ... See more
